Neck Liposuction
What is Neck Liposuction?
Liposuction of the neck is a relatively simple aesthetic surgery procedure that can produce results similar to those achieved with a facelift at a lower cost. It’s an effective way to get rid of excess fat and skin around the chin, jaw line and neck with minimal risk, and it is one of the most common liposuction procedures performed. It may be done as a standalone procedure or in conjunction with a facelift.
Who is a good candidate for liposuction?
Candidates for a neck liposuction will have excess fat in the neck area with good skin elasticity. Those who are not candidates for a traditional facelift due to medical or lifestyle factors (e.g. diabetes, smoking) may benefit from liposuction due to the lower risks involved.
What to expect from Neck Liposuction procedure:
The patient will be given local anesthesia, and the whole procedure is completed in less than an hour. Recovery is quick usually within three to five days and complications are rare.
What are the risks?
Typical risks of surgical procedures may be associated with Liposuction as well. Possible side effects include bruising, swelling, infection, nerve injury, contour irregularities, and scarring. Results are immediate and long lasting; you’ll appear younger and slimmer right away with a contoured, sculpted chin and more defined jaw line.
